The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan On further improvement of public notaries in the Republic of Uzbekistan No UP-4216 of 5 May 2010 states that performed auditing of the private public notaries has revealed severe violations in the notarial practice. For the purposes of improving the institution of public notaries in the Republic of Uzbekistan the Decree has determined: (1) to abolish a system of public notaries operating as private practitioners from 15 May 2010; (2) the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan to undertake necessary alterations to relating to reallocation of public notaries operating as civil servants (state employees).
